we've bought an old home that came with a vulcan oil heater installed in the fireplace cavity. we'd like to put this oil heater back into service but we don't know if it still works, nor the state of the flue etc. so we'd like to have a service person familiar with these old oil heaters to come over and perform a full service on this oil heater and chimney flue so that we can use this heater again. we have fuel oil and a tank; and when plugged in, the fan operates. i can see that the glass has some patches of black soot showing, so i know that the oil heater has been used in the past and i'd like to get it going again this winter.
