We have a Brivis heater that is about 15 years old (ducted ceiling heat). The pilot light works but will not ignite the heater itself every time. We have found that if you turn the pilot light off, then put a hairdryer on the heater for a while then relight the pilot light then everything works fine. It is as though it won't work if the unit is cold. We have had two difference servicemen come out last winter both who said they couldn't find anything wrong but who charged us for a few replacement parts. Neither was able to fix the problem!
