  Last week, I started having trouble with my Brivis 85 central heating ducted system.
I thought the problem was a one-off with the unit only blowing cold air through the ducted system. I went to check the central unit, but the pilot light was actually still on. I turned off the central unit and switched it back on again, and then the unit started working normally for about one week.
A few days ago it stopped again, but this time when I checked the outside unit, the pilot light had been blown out. I relit it according to the instructions, and again the system worked, but only for a short time. I note that the starting power control unit - the electronic unit - was going through its LED signals repetitively and clicking a lot. Now the pilot light seems to go off intermittently, and I note that the fan stops and starts and that when I switch on the outside electronic controlling unit, the LED light seemed to take a long time to switch on, and sometimes make clicking noises before stabilising. It could be a problem with the central electronic controlling unit.
I am also concerned that the fan could have been part of the problem, as someone put something over the inlet, which I have now removed. That seems to have helped the problem a little bit, but the ongoing problem now still persists. The fan seems to run quietly now, but only for a short period of time in spells intermittently.
I was wondering how much it would cost to have my problem looked at and checked. I was also wondering when it could be done, as the house is now getting quite cold. The unit has now not worked for the last 48 hours. This is despite me putting the pilot light back on, and noting that the fan is still basically blowing cold air into the house at the moment when the unit is on - and the fan is running fairly continuously. However, it took quite a while after turning the unit on for even the fan to start by itself overnight.
