The pilot light has gone off and is refusing to stay on. After releasing the gas knob, the pilot light goes off. I have 'vented' the pipes for 20 minutes and have held the knob down in the pilot position for more than 3 minutes, yet the light does not stay on. I have also changed the thermocouple myself (cant say if I did it properly). Still does not work.
