The ducted heating runs for a short time, believe it runs for its normal cycle then turns off but won't come back on, if you turn if off and back on its starts again, if you keep turning off and on after each time it cuts off and get it around the set temperature then it will work and maintain that temp providing the set temp isn't higher than 19/20. Generally it will work for weeks before stuffing up, but when it stuffs up its a pain to get it back to that set temp.
