Tenant has advised current open flame gas heater is dangerous, heats too hot when in use to comfortably use controls. a plumber confirmed this and suggested removing the old heater, cladding the chimney area and fitting a rinnai spectrum space heater. i prefer to leave the current heater in situ, disconnect it and install a rinnai slimline gas space heater rhfe-308ftr somewhere else in the room, just for the reasons of cost and aesthetics. i have one of these heaters secondhand. want another plumber/gasfitter to advise on whether this is feasible, unhappy with current plumber's lack of service, wont return calls, will not provide detailed quote. thanks for your interest.
