I feel like cheated. Mick from 1800 Coolfix asked me to replace Gas heating unit as he figured out circuit board and motor fan etc. were all fried up and it was not worth getting it repaired. He charged me $242 as a call out fee and provided a quote of around $3300. Fortunately, I decided to call someone else (Nanny's Plumbing) to have a look and risk double call out fee. Nanny's Plumbing charged $225 and fixed the unit in by just replacing a $5 hose pipe. He did not even charged for the $5 part. I will be glad if I can get my money back from 1800 CoolFix as they were trying to rip me off by misleading me to believe the unit was dead.
