I have a thirty (?) year old Kent closed log fire (made in NZ) which I am nervous to use due to suspected waste gas (CO)leaks from the firebox into the warm air duct that emits convected warm air into the room. The firebox looks in good condition but there could be a gap between the side and roof on one side. I need someone who is familiar with the construction to advise and/or repair or a way to circumvent the problem
