Replace spring on security entrance gate: new handle, possibly new gate

The front gate to our appartment buildling was fitted with a spring - which made the gate slam shut. A new spring needs to be fitted (so that the gate still shuts after opening,) but perhaps not so powerful - so that the gate doesnt slam shut. Also a new handle on the gate needed. Happy to look at all solutions for the gate - if the spring isnt the option - open to other ideas. 3 quotes minimum for this job - as I need to present to other owners/body corporate members.
