I am having a new shower screen installed in my ensuite and the fitter came to remove the frameless single glass panel currently installed. However, it proved a bit trickier than imagined and he left without doing so.
Apparently the panel is recessed into the tiles on the floor rather than sitting on them, and in addition to silicone it has also been grouted in place for reasons passing understanding. I was advised this means it can't be removed without being broken. After the fitter contacted head office, I have since been told that this company won't remove the panel and I will have to sort it out myself. I'm tempted to tell them to go and you know what after that but alas have paid a 50% deposit already on the new screen which is made and ready to go.
So, this is a very long-winded way of asking if removing the panel is something that can be done without too much complication and how much it may potentially cost
Many thanks for any help you can provide,
Luke
