1. Pull up all the tiles on the balcony ( not to lay any new ones at this point in time ). These tiles are old and porous and so very easy to remove.
2. Install 2 new carpet edging strips to the carpet that is fraying on those edges and replace the strip near the kitchen as carpet has come out.
