Pavers re-laid after re-levelling base

We have a paved area 12 metres by 3 metres where the pavers have become uneven in different places. The pavers are 110mm by 230mm. The base (bedding sand) needs compacting and levelling then the same pavers re-laid. We are willing to take up existing pavers if that makes the job easier.
