Sam is a nice man, however, he quoted the job over the phone. Arrived at 10am to find the tiling was terracotta and he needed a water saw and maybe more time. No, he went ahead with the job and the wrong tools. Called me at 1pm say he had broken 2 tiles and where did I purchase them? I arrived home at 5pm to find a frustrated handy man. He was finishing up a poorly done tiling job on the front steps of a 1 million dollar property. Instead of admitting he was over his head, it was my fault, I had not explained the tiles were terracotta and that the job was worth more. After I pointed out, larger grout lines, poorly fitted tiles and more, he admitted screwing up. Sorry, Sam, but if you had done a proper quote or even called on the day to say you had the wrong tools, you and I could be a lot happier. Instead, I have to undo your work, buy more tiles and get a real tiler in.
