Have a remote control gate and when we installed the house alarm we ran a comunication wire to the motor so we could then use the one remote for gate and alarm.
The alarm guy tested the wiring and gate worked however did not want to permanataly hook it up incase it was wired wrong.
would also like to increase range of remote perhaps by installing ext antenna.
