I am looking to replace my remote controlled steel-line roller door on a five year old house. after looking good, a main requirement is a door that can withstand a sometimes constant wind speed of around 30 kph with gusts that can reach 40 or rarely 50. another requirement is a door that seals the opening reasonable well so that very little wind pressure enters the garage. at the moment the roller door has a 50 mm gap at the top that allows extreme buffeting into the garage. as the wind direction is around 45 degrees to the door, the pressure is directed straight into the corner of the garage, and over five years the pulsating has compromised the adhesion and nailing of the ceiling to the roof trusses. with the last heavy wind it finally sagged to about 100 mm below a truss at the worst point. fortunately not bad enough to fall, and with the use of props it is now back to normal. hopefully you are able to help me fix this frustrating problem and at the same time end up with a vastly superior looking door.
