The downstairs area of our 3 bedroom townhouse has a floating timber floor (manufactured by big river, species of wood is river or flooded gum??). It is 7 years old and is looking a little worn in some parts. There are no major or deep scratches so probably only needs a light sand and resealed with polyurethane or an equivilent.
