My wife and I are 45 years old, debt free, own 2 properties and have 2 school-aged children.

Our financial profile is as follows:

Home on 20 acres of land = $387K
Rental investment property = $366K
Cash = $35K

>LIABILITIES:
None

>INCOME PER ANNUM (before tax):
Income from employment (myself plus my wife) = $117
Rental income from investment property=$11K
Bank interest on cash=$1K

>EXPENSES PER ANNUM:
All living expenses approximately=$60K

What I would like is a proposal on investing and restructuring my financial affairs so that my wife and I can both retire (or mostly retire) within 12 months (therefore losing the $124K of income from employment we currently get), while still leaving us with at least $90K per annum of income from existing and new sources. We would be open to shares, businesses, annuities or any other options that would allow us to achieve this goal.
