My wife and I are purchasing an investment property through a discretionary family trust for which we both are the only trustees. The borrowing is at 70% LVR and we are both based in Melbourne.
For the loan with the Bank, we are the borrowers 'in our own right and as trustees of the family trust'. We will also be guarantors on the loan, and the bank needs a 'Certificate of Independent Financial Advise to Guarantors" for both of us.
