Tom requested 3 quotes from Fencing And Gates Professionals in Viewbank
4-5 of the fence posts have rotted at base and begun to sway. Supported at moment, but looking for full repair or replace.
Looking for 3 quotes to compare and discuss with neighbour before going ahead:
- Repair (replace posts, some supporting beams)
- Replace (full replacement of fence line)
- I'd like to make it the legal maximum, and ensure the side that is failing has 'extra strong' fence posts, as I'd like to increase privacy with additional trellis etc later, not sure if this means extra depth, or metal, or anything really, would love to discuss options.
As an extra, there is a small 1 meter wide fence, blocking the front and rear, needing replacement also, would want a (seperate - not associated with neighbours) quote on this.
The fence is currently wood, the majority is ok, its just old, and the critical 4-5 main posts needing full replacement. I believe there was a flood in the area years before moving in which may have damaged them.
