Currently the access into our courtyard is off a common staircase, we need to remove the existing gate and replace the space left with a continuation of a brushwood fence.
Then, create a new staircase from another common landing into courtyard- would be approximately 1mtr in width, have a landing of approx 1.8mtr and then approx 8 steps into the courtyard. May have to excavate the garden bed and remove part of an existing retaining wall (repair as required). Install a new metal gate and handrails in keeping with existing fence (not brushwood which is around the perimeter of the courtyard).
Finally, patch the common landing brickwork which has been damaged by tree roots.
