Please quote for labour to build an extension to an existing fence (in the same style i.e. lapped and capped treated pine) • I have all the materials (posts, rails, all fasteners, brackets to fix rails to posts, concrete, pails etc.) - I was planning to do it myself, but got an injury and haven’t had time since. • The extension will be approximately 6m long, and we’d like to be quoted for the 3 options below (i.e. separate quotes): 1. Leave a 900mm gap between where the existing fence ends and where the new one will start that would be suitable for installing a pedestrian gate a. (we may want to install our own frame/gate at a later date when we can afford it) b. This will obviously reduce the total length of the extension down to approx. 5.1m 2. Build the whole fence (including installing a 900mm pedestrian gate) not supplying the gate 3. Build the whole fence (including supply and install a 900mm pedestrian gate) • Basically, we’d like to know roughly how much extra you’d charge us to supply/fit (or just fit) the gate because we can pick up a nice gal frame for $70. We got a quote on getting the fence done a while back and the bloke tried to tell us the cost of supplying/fitting the gate would be $680 (and there’s no way we could afford that as well as the fence at the moment!). • If you can do us a good price, we’d prefer to get you to just do the gate as well to save the trouble. Fence details: • 1.8m high • Gal posts • 3 treated pine rails • lapped and capped palings Sorry about the essay – we figured it’d be better to give you a good amount of detail now rather than bounce emails back and forth for days after. Cheers, Scott
