There is an existing chook-shed on the 1.6 acre property we bought last year. before getting chooks we feel they should have a larger area where they can range and forage. the existing shed is fox-proof, meaning the sides go down about a foot under the ground, and the area is roofed. the additional area would need to be the same, with chicken-wire fencing buried to 1' and chicken wire across the top. some existing trees might act as corner-posts if possible. either a good handyman or a fencing contractor could do this job, as it needs to be fox-proof, but needn't look too fancy. one gate will be needed. note: this job is at heathcote junction (near wallan) not heathcote !!
