We have a new house at this address which is nearing completion. There is about 2.3m between the wall of the house and the boundary fence on the eastern side of the property. We would like to put in a fence with a gate, 1.9m high, blocking access to the backyard. The fence would be placed to the south of the gas meter so there is direct access for the meter reader. We are proposing to have a 1.2m wide gate placed in the centre of the fence. We would like to install the fence as soon as we take possession of the house.
We would like two quotes for the work as shown below:
Option 1. A paling fence and gate using similar materials as the side fence; and
Option 2. A fence and gate built from suitable dressed timber so that we can paint them in a brown colour to match the trim on the house.
In both options the gate would need to be able to be padlocked (bolt and hasp would do) from either side of the fence.
