Replace DEMC Ceiling Fan Switch box? Need to discuss.

I've got a D.E.M.C Ceiling Fan and the switch unit's dial got broken. I've got here a GEC box with switch & was wondering if the wall box can be changed & operate the fan with the GEC box I have (both have 5 speeds + 0 on them). And if it can be changed to GEC how much it will cost.
And if not, what are my options & costs.
