Repair/replace light switch & connect solar hot water booster to switch

Light switch (with fan control) is faulty: easy to turn on, difficult to turn off. Feels 'mushy' when trying to turn it off.
Additional job is to connect solar hart booster to power switch that is already inside the house. I believe the switch is a timer, and was used for previous solar hart installation, currently not connected to anything.
