Repair a downlight and phone socket

Ordered to repair a downlight and a phone socket that weren't working. I had to get it down urgently as my tenant was moving in. The electrician came and he was very nice at the first visit. He changed the transformer of one of my Downlights, however the downlight was still blinking/flashing afterward. He said that it was only because of my downlight that I purchased from overseas and it would be fine if I get something from bunnings locally. He also had a look at the phone socket, but he basically said it was more to do with Telstra connection only as there is no dial tone (but I have dial tone on my phone socket in my bedroom). He advised I just called Telstra to get them fixed instead. I had to pay about $180 at the spot. Then when I went to bunnings and got another downlight, it still didn't work. Same issue exists. I also spent 3 hours on Telstra on the phone and they said they wouldn't fix the line as they believe there is no problem from their side. I called the electrician again and asked him to come for another look. I said it's very urgent and I need those to be fixed ASAP. He said he would try coming back next day. I waited all day, he didn't turn up! Then I messaged him and left a message on his voice mail again, then he got back to me and said he would come again sometimes next week instead. I told him (and also to the company previously) that it must be done before Monday so it had to be fixed this weekend. He said he would come on Saturday between certain time, so I stayed home the whole time and he didn't turn up again!!!! I called him and he said he will come on sun only, so I accepted it and told him sun is the last day. Again, he didn't turn up!!!! I was just furious that he basically took my money and fixed nothing. And wasted so much of my time waiting! I highly DO NOY recommend this to anyone else! They are just very unprofessional and your work just wouldn't get done and you will waste your money!
