I have a split system air-con in a garage. The garage has its own safety switches, but is behind an RCD switch in the house. The split system causes surges and must be turned off at the isolator when not in use. I believe all I need is to not have the garage and split system behind the RCD switch. Assistance to confirm this and perform any required rewiring is required.
