Install power point for electric oven in kitchen.

I have been told that this is just a normal power point but may need to go on a separate new circuit. The metre box is located on the same wall as the kitchen approx. 6 meters away. The walls are plaster with timber studs. I do have power points close by if it is possible to piggy back of those.
