I would like to install an Ecobee3 lite smart thermostat, to work with my Braemar TQ320 ducted heating system.
The Braemar connects to the thermostat using only two wires, which are unlabelled.
Ecobee support have told me that to get it working, we will need to power the Ecobee using a 12VAC transformer, and figure out if and how the existing two wires can connect to the Ecobee.
I can provide photos of the circuitry on the furnace and the existing thermostat. I cannot find any circuit diagrams for the Braemar, I have even tried calling them directly.
It would be good to work with someone who has experience with smart thermostats that may have encountered this situation before.
