Change a light fitting

Do NOT use these guys!! They were very quick to contact me by mobile and after discussing the job in detail, I was offered a price that seem reasonable. Not dirt cheap but not expensive either. I was booking this job for my elderly father and I told them that if they had ANY issues to call me to discuss as my Father was not capable of making decissions due to Altzimers. Their instructions for the job were ... Remove the existing down light and replace with a brand new light fitting I would supply. I did request that they not throw the old light fitting away as I was planning on using it elsewhere or selling it. My father called me after the job had been done and said the installer arrived a little early and spent most of the day doing the job. My Dad said he was happy as he now had light in the kitchen. I was pleased and was going to pay the bill I'd been send by email that day but decided to check the work the following evening when I did my weekly overnight stay at Dads. I'm glad I didn't pay! When I got there I was horrified to see the "compleated" job .... they did not remove the old down light, simply installed the new light fitting half ontop of it. Leaving the new light fitting at an angle. There were screws missing and dirty fingerprints all over teh ceiling. Dad also said the installer had marched up and down his black laminex bench in his work boots! And the new light fitting was supposed to be recessed into the roof, leaving the glass & metal base plate flush with the ceiling. I emailed them the next business day, sending photos of the work and was told by return email that I'd be contacted by phone shortly and that their manager himself would attend when the job was redone. That was 20th December 2013 and I've had no contact by email or phone. I was also never supplied with a Certificate of Compliance.
