My mother would like to have a small section of her house extended, by extending the laundry room and adding a decking area, both with the roof attached to the house. To my understanding, I need to employ a draftsman to draw some plans and apply for a permit before building commences. We would like some advice on what is involved in this process.
We already have a builder in mind to complete the work too.
