I have a glass sliding door at the front entrance to my house. it suddenly stopped sliding easily and now needs to be lifted to slide. i've cleaned the tracks (which were filthy) but it still won't slide. there are scrape marks along the bottom of the metal track, and the "groove" in the bottom of the door, where it slides over the railing in the track, is misaligned, so that it's wearing away at one side. if i lift the door and pull it toward me, it seems to lift back onto some internal rollers (i have no idea how these things work), but drops back off when i release the door.
