Require a Structural Engineer to conduct an inspection of the works to date at my fire-damaged home. Upon further investigation I discovered that the builders (appointed by insurance company) obtained a Building Permit with appointing a Building Surveyor of their choosing using forged signatures. I am now in the process of cancelling this permit as this Building Surveyor is under investigation and is not VBA registered. As such I would a site inspection of works to date, mainly the roof cavity carpentry works, as well as some other issues, as I do not trust the opinion of the Building Surveyor used by builders. I would then like for a report to be issues with any problems to be addressed clearly specified.
