Our home was built in 1930's and nearing the end of it's life. It was made pretty with some structural repairs done 5 years ago to address heavy termite damage and made to look nice but the fact... Our home was built in 1930's and nearing the end of it's life. It was made pretty with some structural repairs done 5 years ago to address heavy termite damage and made to look nice but the fact remains that some serious structural issues are likely present - i.e the footings are currently quite slanted. In retrospect we should have knocked down 5 years ago but as first home buyers we weren't ready for this financially. We are in a position now and so would like to get some quotes for a structural engineer report to highlight the issues to help us achieve our goal of knocking down in 1-3 years after we have received approvals etc etc. Please quote price for site visit, preparation of report and the estimated length of report etc.
