Rafter under purlin has slipped. Insurance company did the inspection and the report as follows "Inspection of the roof cavity above the kitchen ceiling found the rafter under purlin has slipped... Rafter under purlin has slipped. Insurance company did the inspection and the report as follows "Inspection of the roof cavity above the kitchen ceiling found the rafter under purlin has slipped down from the rafter. The under purlin should be propped but a metal screw type brace has been used to support the under purlin. It is in our opinion that the under purlin has slipped out of position due to insufficient support(building/design fault)." I need a written quote to submit to the insurance company.
