I live in a 2 bedroom unit (6.3m x 12.3m) that has a trussed roof and I want to remove some parts of internal walls. Currently there is a central hallway adjacent to a small galley kitchen and I... I live in a 2 bedroom unit (6.3m x 12.3m) that has a trussed roof and I want to remove some parts of internal walls. Currently there is a central hallway adjacent to a small galley kitchen and I would like to remove the wall between these spaces and expand the kitchen. I also need to relocate a bedroom door and make some other minor changes. I need an initial consultation with a structural engineer (or other qualified person) to assess these plans and the structure of the unit and advise whether these changes are possible (and potentially offer alternative solutions) before I proceed further. I'm on annual leave this week and want to progress this as soon as possible. If formal drawings and specifications are required after the initial consultation I will engage you to do this as well.
