Timothy requested 3 quotes from Carpetlayers in Phillip Island
We have a small two bedroom holiday house at Surf Beach, Phillip Island. There is existing carpet on the floor. The carpeted area exists of two bedrooms (average size), a lounge (rectangular in shape) and a dining room that runs off the living room. The dining room is a similar size to the bedrooms.
We require someone to replace the existing carpet and underlay with the new carpet and underlay.
We have the carpet and approximately two thirds of the underlay. The carpet for the living/dining rooms is carpet we recently replaced during renovations in Melbourne. It is good quality and only a few years old. It is in five or six large pieces, so it will require some joining. I think the lounge/dining carpet is high low loop patterned carpet (i think). There wasn't enough to complete the entire house in the same carpet, so we chose a different carpet for the bedrooms. The bedrooms carpet is similar in colour but different in pile type. I think that it is a twist pile (again, not sure).
In the living room, one side of it is a almost full length set of sliding doors in a metal box frame and at one end of the room is where the kitchen begins. This will require a metal edge in the vicinity of four to five meters.
Eventually the kitchen will have new floorboards layered on top of the existing floorboards.
For the living/dining room, the carpet will require joining to make up the size. Heat irons and heat bond tape will be required.
