A 2nd floor wooden partition between us and the neighbour (we're townhouses) is held in place by two horizontal wooden beams in a 'T' configuration. The longer of these beams is made up of two elements joined end to end and the joint is becoming loose, causing the partition to flutter and rattle in strong winds.
