Remove fake wall

I would like to remove the fake wall that divides my living room and kitchen. The fake wall was built next to a kitchen bench so I just want to remove the top half (1.80 x 1.50 mts) to open up the space.
The fake wall reaches the ceiling and one of the other walls, so I would assume that those needs to be cleaned up and painted.
Also need to put a small nice piece of wood / shelf to cover up the area where you will start tearing the wall down from once you remove half of the wall.
In addition to this, I would like to install a lamp in the undercover area of the courtyard that does not have lights or power points at the moment.
