I need decking built onto the rear of my house which faces in a southerly direction. it needs to be covered in (i have seen scissor trusses i like the space they create under the roof)and a set of stairs to the rear. the size is approx 70m2. i would like to use hardwood and stainless steel fixing screws.i am wondering if i can use seating around the edges instead of railing. the deck will be more than a metre off the ground. i am in the planning stage and the council needs to be informed,hopping to get things moving along soon.i also have some old architect plans but a few things have changed with what i would like done. there would also need to be a door with slide glass doors put in place of a window to get access to the deck from the house.
