Building a Pergola / Alfresco

The area is about 8m X 6.5m. One of the longer side is on the fence. on one of the shorter side is the garage. The other shorter side is half covered by rumpus room.
Would like to build a totally covered pergola/alfresco. The floor would be decking, raised to the height of the house floor. Would like to put brick on the wall that would be on the fence. Some parts of this wall would also be glass. Not sure what to put as the roof. The main idea is to build something that protects from weather.
