4 timber pergola post bases to be replaced due to rotting

Chris requested 3 quotes from Carpenters in Springvale North

The bottom 500mm (approx. 500mm) of 4 external timber pergola posts (approx 100mm x 100mm) need to be replaced due to rotting. The pergola has 6 posts in total but 2 are in good condition & not required to be replaced. The exsting stirrup bases are concreted in, are in good condition & need to be re-used, therefore you need to work to the positiining of these. Temporary bracing will be required during this work (you will need to provide, install neatly & remove at completion). Ideally the join between the new timber bases & the existing retained section of the post will need to be rebated or suitable spliced and have additional strap connection bolted to it to ensure that structural inegrity is maintained. Also, there is a creeper vine plant located at the base of 2 of the post bases & they stem up around the pergola - it may interfere somewhat with this work, but we would like to retain as much of the creepers as we can.
