I need a quote to replace the floor in a downstairs room of an apartment block that has rotted away. We are interested in reducing the likelihood that the issue will occur again, possibly by using different bearers(?), improving damp course, adding in sub-floor ventilation etc.
I have photos of the sub-floor space, and can provide access to it through a 'manhole' cut into the floor.
We've had a couple of 'mates of mates' etc provide their opinions, and they vary widely as to what needs to be done. We are looking to understand options and then engage someone to do the work, beginning in about 1 month's time.
