Have a double brick house with a front porch. The hose is 1960’s i think. The front porch has curve half way around it. The first part of the porch is straight and comes to a brick piller. From the pillar it then curves around to join back onto the house.
There are two openings in the front porche... one to walk thru to the front door and the other opening is like a window...but curves around like ¼ circle.
the porch has also 2 air conditioner units with a traficable roof. it also has a box gutter (maybe of no relevance) that may be disturbed whilst works are underway.
Above is a concrete beam that is the start of a parapet wall. The parapet is brick and about 1 5 m heigh.
The concrete beam is loosing concrete on the bottom and has exposed the steel reo. The reo has cancer and prob. is loosing strength. not knowing how long it will last.
I need a builder / bricklayer to evaluate the works and advise us on the repair. (weather to just patch or re do the front porch).
For the prospective quoter. the house can be viewed initially on google earth so as they can understand my description an asses if this is their feild of work. The painted white strip beam is the one that needs attention. An onsite view is nessesary to complete a quote so as the builder knows how easy/dificult the job is and a firm quote can be given. (give or take a bit due to unforseen circumstances) the aprox budget that is in this description is wrong..(guessing) but that will be sorted out with 3 quotes.
