Repair cracks in double brick Garage pillars

Our brick garage is approx 18 years old. Two of the double brick pillars are cracking and need to be repaired. The pillar bricks run parrallel to the wall rather than inter-locked. The garage door is mounted to one of the pillars.
I'm looking for a qualified builder to ensure the garage is repaired to a safe condition.
