This bathroom renovation is potentially the first of four bathrooms that need renovating in a block of units. It needs to be done very soon as the shower is leaking and damaging the underfloor. The others will be done later.
In general, the job requires new tiling and adding bathtub (with overhead shower) and washing machine fittings (where the shower currently is located), and the toilet will be moved slightly.
More specifically, the required works include:
• removing existing toilet, shower and hob and wall mounted hand basin;
• removing old tiles;
• modify existing pipe work where possible or install pipe work where necessary into the walls and floor for installation of toilet, bathtub (with overhead shower), and washing machine;
• Connect new pipe work to existing underfloor pipe work;
• Make good walls and floor for tiling;
• Waterproof all areas as required;
• Tile walls, floor and around bathtub;
• Install toilet, bathtub, vanity unit and other bathroom ware eg bath screen, mirror, towel racks etc;
• As existing shower is leaking, ensure cause of leak is rectified, replace any existing rotten floor timbers with new ones;
• Electrical work – approx two power points (and possibly a fan);
• Remove rubbish from site.
I will supply tiles, toilet, bathtub and bathroom ware.
