The required cut-away bit would be around 0-5m to 1m of the floor joist. Secondly, would like the main load bearing cross beam to be checked, this is the closest wood beam to the ground (only ~10cm clearance) in the whole house. If possible, would like to discuss changing this to a metal beam or similar 100% termite proof beam. Understand this wouldn't be as easy as rebolting the 3 floor joist parts, but would still like to discuss options. The 3 joists and cross beam are immediately next to the access hole on side of house (with 1m from access hole), easy to check and quote but I imagine doing the work will need to get around to the other side underneath. But for quoting, easy to see and get too.
