I have an 1880's Victorian house and I would like to lay a floor in the ceiling spaces of the two main sections to use for storage.
One section is entirely tiled, the other is half tiled, half slate (slightly more difficult to access). The job will include reinforcing the existing battons, laying a basic flooring surface in yellow tongue or something else suitable, trimming and making good.
Access is via the tiled roofing surfaces and both sections of roof have some impediments: a hot water surface in one and a structural box supporting the roof after a repair (last year) in the other.
