Starting from scratch. we are at the planning stage, need to know what we can do, when, and how much.
depending on the cost & council requirements, we may be able to start straight away, may do a phased approach...
1) existing veranda at the front has rotting wood - needs to be fixed, incl. ceiling/roof.
2) want to enclose this front veranda and knock hole in existing room to create a study accessible from inside
3) existing roof facade is colourbond, but want to restore to federation look/material
4) pending council approval (please assist), we'd like to put in a driveway (knock down front fence for driveway) and possibly put in a carport in the same federation look.
the house is a 1920s bungalow, and we'd like to be as kind to it as we can, and not overly change its look...
not sure if we'd need council approval for blocking in veranda - pls advise too...
