We have obtained the DA for the renovation of our 1930s unit on the top (8th) floor of a heritage listed block in Potts Point.
We need a licensed builder to manage the project.
We require someone used to managing heritage building projects and references will be required.
The job includes:
- Create master bedroom by removal of existing adjoining bedroom walls
- Create new doorways and block off existing
- Remove existing kitchen & prepare for new kitchen installation
- Create new fire surround incorporating ethanol flueless fireplace, TV recess and A/C vent
- Demolish wall nibs & raise opening to widen balcony opening to accommodate new bi-folding doors
- Strip out existing bathroom and replace with walk-in shower & new vanity
- Create new W/C from existing hallway
- Install heated floor and tiling for bathroom & W/C
- Replace external windows & rear balcony door with new wood replacements
- Repair/replace existing fibrous plaster moulded ceilings & walls prepare for painting
- Install dome in living room ceiling
- Install new wiring & lighting
- Replace & reposition smoke alarms
- Reposition gas meter and electrical switch box in kitchen
